It has been (and continues to be) a very hot week and some of us don’t have air conditioning – please remember to drink water and find a cool spot somewhere if you can. As they are saying, “this heat wave is not expected to end in the foreseeable future”.
This Sunday, July 12th worship will include Hymn 648 “I’m gonna live so God can use me” and Hymn 574 “With the Lord as my guide”. (I include the Hymn numbers for those of you who have a Hymn book at home). Vinodh Raj will be providing music for our time of offering “As the Deer” by Martin Nystrom and Mary-Catherine Pazzano will sing “Peace in the Valley” by Thomas A. Dorsey. The sermon meditation is called “To infinity and beyond – the future starts today” and our scripture is Matthew 13:1-9; 18-23.
Immediately after worship, the live stream will continue for another 30 minutes or so, as we celebrate the conclusion of our three year “Brightening our Future” stewardship campaign. Rob Broberg and Sharon Feldmann (our co-convenors for the Campaign) will lead us in the celebration that will include special music as well as a hymn. We will pray, thank the Brightening our Future Team, share financial information, and give thanks to God and to our members and friends who supported this campaign.
Please join us online this Sunday for worship and the celebration.
With appreciation for your continued prayers, support, and kindness,
Associate Minister at Knox Waterloo
