Call for a Prayer Shawl Coordinator
Knox has a group of dedicated women, who knit and crochet beautiful prayer shawls. God’s love is woven into the yarn and through the prayers of the women as they knit and crochet them. These prayer shawls are given to those who may need comfort. The hope is that as they wrap the prayer shawl around them, they may feel God’s comforting and healing presence.
Would you be interested in coordinating this ministry of caring?
No experience is necessary – only a willing heart.
Responsibilities include:
Making sure there are gift bags for the prayer shawls, tissue paper and “made by” tags available in the church office.
Making sure there are enough prayer shawls available.
Working with the Care Coordinator and delivering a prayer shawl when requested.
Keeping the Prayer Shawl record book up to date.
Arranging a date with the ministers for the annual dedication of the prayer shawls during a church service.
