We look forward to welcoming our newcomers, Batoul, Bayan, Anwar, Alaa, and Wazira. They will be initially staying with their relatives, the Al Dandal family, whom Knox sponsored in 2017

How can you help?

  • Pray that the family can get here safely (their flights have been postponed due to

    fighting in the Middle East) and that their adjustment to life in Canada is as smooth as

    possible.

  • Donate to Knox’s Refugee Fund to help with expenses during the coming year.

  • Look over the list below of needed furniture and furnishings and send photos and dimensions of the items you want to donate to Nancy Matthews:

    • 2 twin mattresses (free of stains/tears)

    • 1 twin box springs

    • Dressers

    • Nightstands

    • 2 or 3 tall bar stools for the living room side of the kitchen island (open concept kitchen-living-dining room)

    • 1 couch and coffee table

    • Other living room chairs

    • Dining room table and chairs (and/or a kitchen table and chairs)

    • Lamps

    • Large screen TV

    • Area rug for living room

    • Vacuum cleaner, broom, dustpan

    • Sheets (2 sets each for 1 double bed and 3 twin beds)

    • Other linen (pillowcases, bath and hand towels, washcloths)

    • Blankets, quilts, afghans

    • Kitchen items (glasses, electric kettle, cutting board, can opener, juice jugs, oven

    • mitts, small appliances, tea towels, hand towels)

    • Garbage cans

    • Bookshelves

    • Clocks
