Men’s Breakfast – Join us for food and fellowship on October 19th, 8 am at Calvin Presbyterian Church, Kitchener. This is a Knox/Calvin group for all ages!

Election 2019: We are all encouraged to vote, and to help us understand the issues several organizations, including the Canadian Council of Churches (supported by the Presbyterian Church in Canada) and Citizens for Public Justice, have prepared guides with background information and suggested questions to ask the candidates.  Information is available at the Welcome Desk.

Wed@Knox, Oct 16 – Buy your ticket ($16) today after the service for our W@K Thanksgiving lunch of ham and scalloped potatoes with dessert. As we enjoy this festive Thanksgiving meal, we’ll talk about what it means to practice Gratitude. “Everything is a gift. The degree to which we are awake to this truth is a measure of our gratefulness, and gratefulness is a measure of our aliveness.”

Knox Reconciliation Initiatives is hosting The Blanket Exercise on Saturday, October 19th in the church hall led by Allison Dyjach & Matthew Rappolt. Guest speaker is Geronimo Henry from Woodland Cultural Centre who will tell his story of growing up in the Mohawk Residential School in Brantford. 10-1:45 with light lunch included. All ages & families encouraged to attend. Sunday, October 20th we recognize the 25thAnniversary of the PCC Confession to Aboriginal Peoples with guest musicians The Good Hearted Womenand a presentation about Two Row on the Grand by Jay Bailey and Ellie Joseph.

Women Together – Monday, October 21st, 7:30 – 9:30 pm, “Reconnecting with a Splash of Colour” – Water colour paint night (Lighthouse at Chantry Island) with Debbie (Ellis) Hannaberg. $25 covers material and instruction. Sign up sheet on the bulletin board by October 16th.

Knox Christmas Bazaar – Saturday, November 9th. We will be accepting contributions of baking, crafts and white elephant items to be dropped off at Knox after November 3rd. There are still vendor tables available. Contact Brad Tucker (bradtucker1951@gmail.com) for more information.

Call for Mason Jars – We are preparing our annual cookies in a jar night so we are putting out the call for anyone to return used mason jars (and from past years — only return the 1L Golden Havest jars, the name is on the jar).

APPLEFEST tickets are on sale for this annual fund raising event sponsored by the Women’s Circle of Care group. Members of the WCC will be selling tickets ($5 for adults, $3 for youths, and free for children under 5) in the church foyer before and after today’s service. Buy tickets now for your family and friends to enjoy this delicious dessert on October 27th. Special thanks to Tom Westervelt and Martin’s Family Fruit Farm for the donation of local apples.

Help Needed to Make Christmas Cakes! Looking for a morning of fun and conversation? Then volunteer to prepare cake ingredients on October 15th. This is a great fund raiser for the church as part of the Bazaar. Sign-up lists for helpers and cake orders are on the bulletin board. Job Opportunity at Knox – Knox Waterloo is looking for a part time Christian Faith Formation Coordintorfor our  children’s and youth ministry.
