Job Opportunity at Knox – Knox Waterloo is looking for a part time Christian Faith Formation Coordintorfor our  children’s and youth ministry. The job description will be on our church website and you can pick up a copy in the church office. If you know anyone who might be interested please encourage them to consider this ministry opportunity.

Join Food for Thought on Sundays at 6:30 pm at the Matthews’ (774 Belmont Ave W, Kitchener) for a free meal and study, “2019: A Faith Odyssey — A look at Scripture and Sci-fi/Fantasy.” Check for details. NOTE: FFT will NOT meet October 13th.

Wed@Knox, Oct 9 – Sing Along with the Band of Friends. Back by popular demand, the Band of Friends will play their instruments and invite us to sing along with them as they lead us in a variety of wonderful songs (folk, pop and rock, mostly from the 50’s and 60’s). As always Wed@Knox is 11:30-1:00 with $5 for lunch.

Women Together – Monday, October 21st, 7:30 – 9:30 pm, “Reconnecting with a Splash of Colour” – Water colour paint night (Lighthouse at Chantry Island) with Debbie (Ellis) Hannaberg. $25 covers material and instruction. Sign up sheet on the bulletin board by October 16th.

Knox Christmas Bazaar – Saturday, November 9th. We will be accepting contributions of baking, crafts and white elephant items to be dropped off at Knox after November 3rd. There are still vendor tables available. Contact Brad Tucker ( for more information.

Call for Mason Jars – We are preparing for our annual cookies in a jar night so we are putting out the call for anyone to return used mason jars (and from the past years. Please only return the 1L Golden Havest jars, the name is on the jar.

Save the Date! The Women’s Circle of Care Group is once again celebrating God’s bountiful harvest on Sunday, October 27th with Applefest. Tickets will be available for purchase in the church foyer starting next Sunday from WCC members. Proceeds from this event will go towards special church related projects of the WCC Group.

Help Needed to Make Christmas Cakes! If you are looking for a morning of fun and conversation, we need volunteers to prepare cake ingredients on October 15th. This is a great fund raiser for the church as part of the Bazaar. There is a sign-up list for helpers on the bulletin board and a sign-up list for cake orders. LOGOS Kitchen Crew – Are you new to Knox or a longtime member who is looking for a dynamic and energetic group to join? Why not consider helping our LOGOS Kitchen Crew? It’s a great way to get to know others while providing an invaluable service to our Knox Families. We are in need of people who can come in for various shifts between 4:30 – 6:00 pm each Thursday or even occasionally cooking – no cooking experience necessary! We could also use additional help putting away tables between 6:45 and 7:00 pm. Please contact Kendra at if you can help.

Knox Reconciliation Initiatives is hosting The Blanket Exercise on Saturday, October 19th in the church hall led by Allison Dyjach & Matthew Rappolt. Guest speaker is Geronimo Henry from Woodland Cultural Centre who will tell his story of growing up in the Mohawk Residential School in Brantford. 10-1:45 with light lunch included. All ages & families encouraged to attend. Sunday, October 20th we recognize the 25thAnniversary of the PCC Confession to Aboriginal Peoples with guest musicians The Good Hearted Womenand a presentation about Two Row on the Grand by Jay Bailey and Ellie Joseph.
