Thank you to everyone who came to worship last week and “remembered their baptism and rejoiced!” I had a lot of fun with the aspergillum as anyone present saw.

This Sunday September 15th, our scripture is Luke 15:1-10 and  Psalm 14:1-6 with the sermon “Lost and Found”. The choir is singing “Hallelujah By and By” and “Jesus, you fill our hearts”.  We are reading banns of marriage for Matt Honsberger and Laura Roberts.

LOGOS begins on Thursday, September 26th so for fun we’ll be showing the LOGOS video again. (And there just might be a “snowball” response afterwards). If you haven’t registered your child/teen for LOGOS yet, please do so this Sunday and attend the Mandatory Adult/Parent meeting afterwards.

Food for Thought begins this Sunday evening – so pass the word onto anybody you know who is university/college age.

We are still collecting money for a gift for Laura Vander Vleuten (September 29th is the Celebration Sunday) so if you are planning to contribute, please do so soon. You’ll also see in the hall/atrium a bucket and  poster – feel free to add your comments on the slips of paper as we fill up Laura’s bucket.

Sunday School Registration is this Sunday in the hall after worship. All parents of infants to grade 12 children are asked to fill out the registration form. These are new forms this year so please come and take a look.

Wednesday at Knox begins on September 18. We are delighted that Margaret Brockett andSarah Flanagan are coming to speak about the Sanctuary Refugee  Health Centre, a place of healing, hope and well-being. Sanctuary was a huge help to us when we sponsored the Al Dandal family from Syria. Come for lunch ($5), fellowship and an inspiring message. Looking forward to seeing everyone on Wednesday 11:30-1:00.

Only four weeks until our new  minister, the Rev. Hugh Donnelly arrives.

In Christ,

Linda Ashfield, Minister at Knox (for 3 more weeks)
