As we gather virtually for worship on Sunday, July 5th, we are so very grateful for those members who are supporting the cost of the radio ministry as well as contributing to the church and the live stream services.

We look forward to hearing Ayshia Bailie sing “A change is gonna come” by Sam Cooke and Mary Catherine singing “Nella Fantasia” (see translation of this song below). We will join in song  too with 746 “What a friend we have in Jesus”, the Doxology, our Peace Song, 102 “When I lift my voice” and 530 “I come with joy”.

The sermon “…about Freedom” is based on Matthew 11:16-19, 25-30 and Romans 7:15-25. We  will once again be celebrating The Lord’s Supper, so please have your elements handy for Communion.

On Sunday, July 12th we will be celebrating the end of our three year stewardship campaign, “Brightening our Future” with a special live stream event right after worship. Thank you to all who participated in this campaign that was designed to help us accelerate the retirement of capital debt (our  mortgage). If you still want to support this campaign, please call the church office. We look forward to a time of gratitude and celebration with thanksgiving to God!

The Knox Search Committee is one step closer to presenting a name to Session for the Associate Minister position. Please continue to pray for this group and that God will lead and guide us as we move forward.

Lastly, the Hare family are looking for someone who can look after a family cat for a couple of weeks. This is an urgent need. If you can offer help, please contact Kathryn at 226-476-6629.

“Nella Fantasia” by Ennio Morricone, lyrics by Chiara Ferrau.

In my fantasy I see a fair world, where everybody lives in peace and honesty. I dream of souls that are always free, like the clouds that fly, full of humanity deep within the soul.

In my fantasy I see a clear world, where even at nights there is less darkness. I dream of souls that are always free, like the clouds that fly.

In my fantasy, there is a hot wind that blows over the cities like a friend. I dream of souls that are always free, like the clouds that fly, full of humanity deep within the soul.

Jesus said, “you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free!”

Peace and grace,
Linda Ashfield, Associate Minister
