Wed@Knox, Sept 25th– Kathleen Barsoum: Recycling 102: Unsure about how to sort your recycling? Interested to hear about how landfills work and why it’s important to maintain them for as long as possible? Think it’s just garbage? Kathleen, who designed the Environmental Education Centre and develops strategies for waste reduction and promoting green lifestyles will challenge you to think again.

On Sunday, September 29thwe are thanking Laura Vander Vleuten for her 16 years as our Christian Education Director. If you would like to contribute towards a gift, please speak to Shirley or Charlene Janes in the church office.

Sunday School (Kindergarten to Grade 12): will begin in the Knox Room today before going to their classes. Nursery/toddler care is available in Room 106/107.

Sunday School Registration is today in the Church Hall after worship. Parents please register all your children.

There is an intention of marriage between Laura Samantha Roberts and Matt Wilfrid Honsberger. This marriage is to take place on Saturday, September 28th, 2019 at 3:30 p.m. at Cairn Camp, Baysville, Ontario.

Ride for Refuge is taking place locally on Oct0ber 5th. This is an opportunity to walk or cycle to fundraise for a charity of your choice. Presbyterian World Service and Development (PWS&D) is forming a team to raise money for maternal, newborn and child health in Malawi and Afghanistan. All funds raised are matched by the government at a ratio of 4:1. Interested? See the note on the bulletin board or speak to Grant or Femmy Birks.

Women Together – Monday, October 21st, 7:30 – 9:30 pm, “Reconnecting with a Splash of Colour” – Water colour paint night (Lighthouse at Chantry Island) with Debbie (Ellis) Hannaberg. $25 covers material and instruction. Sign up sheet on the bulletin board by October 16th.

Knox Christmas Bazaar – Saturday, November 9th. We will be accepting contributions of baking, crafts and white elephant items to be dropped off at Knox after November 3rd. There are still vendor tables available. Contact Brad Tucker ( for more information.

Our new minister, the Rev. Hugh Donnelly arrives on October 1st(first Sunday October 6th). At that time Linda and Brooke will each work half-time as Associate Ministers at Knox until a second minister is chosen in 2020.

Rev. Hugh Donnelly’s Induction Service (led by the Presbytery of Waterloo Wellington) is Sunday, October 6th at 3 pm here at Knox. All members and adherents and their friends and family are invited to this special service as we welcome Hugh to Waterloo and to Knox.
