And thus February comes to an end! This Sunday, March 3rd we gather as Christ’s people around the table to break bread, to hear a blessing and to be nourished in faith.

We look forward to God’s word in Exodus 34:29-31 and Luke 9:28-43 as we focus on the words of “Grace – Listen – Follow”.

The Choir will sing “You Raise me up and Be still my soul” as well as “Come taste the goodness of the Lord .

After worship the High School young people will be serving soup and bun (free will offering) on behalf of our Church School children and youth. For the month of March, they are taking up the “Sunday School PWS&D Challenge” learning about hunger around the world, food security and long term solutions for hunger. Money raised will be supporting a PWS&D program for seeds for a family garden plot in Guatemala.

This Sunday March 3 at 2:30 p.m. the Inclusion Initiatives Group is hosting the showing of the film “Belonging in the Body: Transgender Journeys of Faith”. The one hour documentary film follows the lives of several transgender Christians throughout their experiences of church, scripture and faith. This will be followed by a panel discussion and reception. Knox is hosting this event in partnership with Generous Space Ministries and we hope that many from the wider community will be joining us too. There is no cost; free will donation.

A final reminder – that this Tuesday, March 5th is Pancake (Shrove) Tuesday. Senior High will be hosting their traditional Pancake and Sausage dinner at Knox 5-7 p.m. $8 adults, $5 seniors/students $25 family with all proceeds funding the ingredients for their Ray of Hope Meal Support Program.

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways submit to him, and God will make your paths straight.” Proverbs 3:5-6
