Ashfield Retirement Celebration

It is with regret that we will be postponing the Ashfield Retirement Celebration originally scheduled at Knox Waterloo for June 20-21, 2020. We are considering different options for this celebration and will provide an update once we have more clarity regarding the impacts of COVID-19. Please look for updates regarding how we will proceed via the Knox Waterloo website, Facebook pages, newsletter, and bulletin. We look forward to celebrating our more than 30 years together with Brooke and Linda at a time that will be safe and welcoming for everyone.

Ongoing ministry at Knox:

LOGOS groups of children, youth and adults continue to meet in age groups on Thursdays over zoom. Plans are underway for a short livestream closing service and graduation.

Food for Thought continues to meet on Sunday evenings. They outgrew Google Hangouts and moved to a different venue. While they can’t share a meal together, they meet for conversation from their homes at dinner time.

Sunday School – Carole is sending out curriculum for each age group each week. Thanks to the Sunday School teachers who are adding their ideas too.

Knox Choir is meeting through zoom and last week enjoyed singing as MC played a hymn.

Small Groups at Knox continue to meet online. Some are now meeting more often to keep in touch, check in on one another and share prayer requests. The Session is also meeting more often through zoom.

The Knox Treasurer, Ruth and Charlene are doing a lot of work behind the scenes to monitor our financial situation and project (as best as they can) our future financial situation. The new COVID-19 Task Group is also meeting regularly.

The Transition Team and the Search Team at Knox are also meeting through zoom and being thoughtful, and measured in decision making as we move forward.

May the Peace of the Risen Christ fill your hearts this day.
