We have now come to the end of the church calendar year! Did you know that Advent (which begins on Sunday December 1st) is the beginning of the church year? This Sunday, November 24th the sermon “Sounds of Silence” is based on 1 Kings 19:9-18 and Luke 1: 76-79. The Choir will be singing “Up to the Mountain” (a Martin Luther King song) by Patty Griffin with soloist Shanice Skinnner.  Jakob Villeneuve (another Knox Music Scholar) will be singing “The Holy City”

We have 36 women signed up for the Women Together evening on Monday, December 2nd when we’ll be creating natural Christmas table decorations with Ingrid from I.C. Flowers.  This evening is now full.  If you have signed up for the night but cannot come, please let me know as there is now a waiting list.

Global Partners is collecting items for the House of Friendship’s Charles Street Men’s Shelter. Please take one of the  sheets on the Knox Bulletin board (and one will be in this Sunday’s bulletin) to see what items we are looking for.
