There is an intention of marriage between Laura Samantha Roberts and Matt Wilfrid Honsberger.
This marriage is to take place on Saturday, September 28th, 2019 at 3:30 p.m. at Cairn Camp, Baysville, Ontario.

Are You College Or University-Age (a student, working or in-between)? Food for Thought meets on Sunday nights, beginning with a FREE DINNER & GAME NIGHT on Sept. 15th, 6:30 pm, at the Matthews’ (774 Belmont Ave W, Kitchener). Our regular routine of dinner, followed by a time of study and discussion (this term on Faith & Sci-fi/Fantasy) will begin on Sept. 22nd. Questions? Wed@Knox, Sept 18th– Margaret Brockett and Sarah Flanagan: Sanctuary Refugee Health Centre
Established in 2013 by Dr. Michael Stephenson to fill ununmet need in Waterloo Region, the vision for Sanctuary Refugee Health Centre is to equip and support refugee newcomers in resolving or managing their particular challenges as they adapt to life in what seems like an alien country. Refugee necomers are inherently resilient. With appropriate care and support they can be enabled over a periof of time to enjoy well-being as contributing Canadian citizens. Sanctuary offers that care and support.

Logos will begin September 26th until December 12th. We will start again January 16, 2020 and continue until March 5thwith two weeks off at March break, then re-start March 26thuntil April 23rd!

On Sunday, September 29th we will be thanking Laura Vander Vleuten for her 16 years as our Christian Education Director. If you would like to contribute towards a gift, please speak to Shirley Carter (Personnel Committee) or Charlene Janes in the church office.

Sunday School for all ages (Kindergarten to Grade 12): will begin in the Knox Room today before going to their classes. They will be learning a song and making a gift to be presented to Laura Vander Vleuten on Sunday, September 29th. Nursery/toddler care is available in Room 106/107.

Sunday School Registration is today and next Sunday, September 22ndin the Church Hall after worship. Parents please register all your children.

Cooks Needed for Food for Thought – Consider sharing your gift of hospitality with our university-aged ministry by providing a meal. The sign-up sheet is on the Knox bulletin board and there are two dates yet to be filled: October 27thand November 17th. Hungry students will thank you!

Ride for Refuge is taking place locally on October 5th. This is an opportunity to walk or cycle to fundraise for a charity of your choice. Presbyterian World Service and Development (PWS&D) is forming a team to raise money for maternal, newborn and child health in Malawi and Afghanistan. All funds raised are matched by the government at a ratio of 4:1. Interested? See the note on the bulletin board or speak to Grant or Femmy Birks.

Women Together – Monday, October 21st, 7:30 – 9:30 pm, “Reconnecting with a Splash of Colour” – Water colour paint night with Debbie (Ellis) Hannaberg. $25 covers material and instruction. Whether you have ever picked up a paint brush or done a water colour before, Debbie will walk us through and each of us will take home our own masterpiece. Space is limited! Sign up sheet on the bulletin board.

Knox Christmas Bazaar – Saturday, November 9th. We will be accepting contributions of baking, crafts and white elephant items to be dropped off at Knox after November 3rd. There are still vendor tables available. Contact Brad Tucker (bradtucker1951@gmail.com) for more information.
