Wed@Knox, April 10th – Roy Godber: Uganda Then and Now – Roy will share his experiences in Uganda beginning in 1963 as a teacher with the British Ministry for Overseas Development and continuing with regular trips as a self-funded volunteer working on rural development projects. His pictures and stories, spanning the decades, will demonstrate that a meaningful and exciting life does not have to end at 65.

The grade 5 /6 class is running a BAKE SALE next Sunday, April 14th/Palm Sunday after church to raise money for: a school on the Six Nations reserve in Ontario -Skaronhyase’ko:wa Tyohterakentko:wa tsi yontaweya’tah-kwa, The Everlasting Tree School. It is the Year of Indigenous Languages so we wanted to support a local First Nations community that is involved in teaching Indigenous languages. We ask congregation members to bring peanut-nut free baked goods to the kitchen before church. Please label the baked goods if they are gluten free, sugar-free, etc. to let the buyer know. Thank you!

Vacation Bible Camp “Shake it up Café: Where kids carry out God’s recipe” is July 15-19, in the mornings for kids finished JK-Gr 5 ($25) and Junior Youth Gr 6, 7 & 8 ($35). Register online NOW! Contact Laura V to volunteer.

Families of Young Children will gather on Saturday, April 13th from 9:30 – 11:30 am for an informal playtime (child care is provided) and fellowship. Parents with babies and toddlers, join us for a discussion on Faith Formation in the Home. Snacks will be provided.

LOGOS Jr High are hosting a CARNIVAL, Thursday, April 11th,, from 5 to 7 pm here at Knox. Food, games, face painting, and a Puppy Petting Area where you can meet and interact with Guide Dogs . Free will donations going to DOG GUIDES OF CANADA.

Knox Women’s Retreat Weekend at Crieff Hills (nearGuelph) is scheduled for the weekend after Easter, April 26-28. Details and registrations on Knox Bulletin Board.

Knox Music Ministry Fundraiser – Ireland’s Leading Tenor, Emmet Cahill with the Knox Chancel Choir, Wednesday, May 29th at 7:30 pm. Tickets are $35.

Knox Reconciliation Initiatives is hosting a Book Study. “Seven Fallen Feathers” by Tanya Talaga. Four Monday Nights – April 29, May 6, May 13, May 27 at 7 pm at the Church. Leaders: Beth Prysnuk and Shannon Paisley. Books will be available for $20 each.

Easy Worship Volunteers – We are looking for 4 new people to be trained in Easy Worship – that’s the person who puts the images and words on the screen to aid us in worship. If you are at all interested in finding out more, please speak to Ruth Song, Rev. Linda Ashfield and/or Andrew Church.

The Knitting Pilgrim – A one man play featuring the Stitched tapestries of Kirk Dunn. The hand-knit triptych explores the commonalities and conflicts of the three Abrahamic Faiths. Sponsored by Knox Waterloo, Monday, June 3rd at 7:30 p.m.
