Call to Worship:
One: When we are feeling weak,
All: God holds us with care and compassion.
One: When we are feeling strong,
All: God urges us to grow with ideas and inspiration.
One: God calls us as partners to help build a world of joy and hope.
All: And so we join hearts, hands, and voices in worship!
Hymn 712 “Arise your light has come”
Gathering Prayer – followed by Lord’s Prayer, sung
God of the Cross, in the midst of turbulent lives and turbulent times, we gather in the Spirit of Christ to hear some Good News. You are a God who understands the pain of the world because you have experienced it firsthand. You are with us. You are for us. You are transforming us. We regret the ways we have—intentionally and unintentionally—contributed to the world’s pain. Awaken us, we pray, to a life of resurrection, and help us to grow in the knowledge of the responsibilities new life demands.
Assurance of God’s Grace
Peace Invocation: “Shalom”
May the peace of the Lord be with you
At home and in your heart
Shalom with you abide

Hymn “For the life that you have given”
For the life that you have given,
For the love in Christ made known,
With these fruits of time and labour,
With these gifts that are your own:
Here we offer, Lord, our praises;
Heart and mind and strength we bring;
Give us grace to love and serve you,
Living what we pray and sing.
Prayer of Dedication
We give these gifts in gratitude for all that
God has given us.
In the upside down world of the gospel,
we measure our wealth not by what we have,
but what we can give away.
And so we give generously, to bless your church, your people, your creation. Amen.
