Hymn 371: “Love divine, all loves excelling”
Gathering Prayer – followed by Lord’s Prayer, sung
Loving God, you have come among us in Jesus, your anointed one. Through Christ you teach us, heal us, challenge us. We cannot understand or explain the depth and breadth of your grace; we simply accept it as a gift. We give thanks for this great mystery of faith! Forgive us for thinking that we know all there is to know about Jesus, and for trying to put limits on your love. Grant us a humility that instills in us a desire to learn more about who you are.

Hymn “For the life that you have given”
For the life that you have given,
For the love in Christ made known,
With these fruits of time and labour,
With these gifts that are your own:
Here we offer, Lord, our praises;
Heart and mind and strength we bring;
Give us grace to love and serve you,
Living what we pray and sing.
Prayer of Dedication
O God, may our congregation be a witness to you:
immersed in love,
constant in care,
joyful in worship,

Shape us to be a loving,
reaching out to those in need.
Accept these gifts we offer, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
