Join Food for Thought on Sundays at 6:30 pm at the Matthews’ (774 Belmont Ave W, Kitchener) for a free meal and study, “2019: A Faith Odyssey — A look at Scripture and Sci-fi/Fantasy.” Check www.knoxwaterloo.ca/fft for details. Applefest! Just smell the aroma coming from the kitchen and you will know that today’s the day for delicious apple crisp topped with ice-cream! Women’s Circle of Care (WCC) members will be serving up this yummy dessert following the church service. Special thanks go out to Tom Westervelt and Martin’s Family Fruit Farm for the donation of apples used in making the apple crisp.
Junior High Pumpkin Fundraiser – Buy a pumpkin to support the Food Bank. Thank you to Sue and Bruce Dickieson from Mosborough Country Market for their donation of pumpkins.
Call for Mason Jars – We are preparing our annual cookies in a jar night so we are putting out the call for anyone to return used mason jars (and from past years — only return the 1L Golden Harvest jars, the name is on the jar).
Wed@Knox, Oct 30 – Rebecca Sherbino: The Raw Carrot Story – Starting with a small grant from The Experimental Fund of the PCC, the Raw Carrot has grown into a vibrant and expanding social franchise that creates meaningful employment for talented individuals iving with disAbilities and mental health illness by creating handcrafted gourment soup. Come and taste some of their delicious soup as you listen to their story.
The Bake Table for the Knox Christmas Bazaar (Saturday, November 9th) is requesting donations of homemade baked goods. Squares, shortbread cookies, pies, gingerbread or preserves are all welcome! Items can be placed in the church kitchen between 9 am and 4 pm or 6 pm and 9 pm on Friday, November 8th.
