Wednesday at Knox May 9   Potluck Luncheon  – W@K’s year-end event again features a potluck meal and the wonderful music of Full-House Brass, including Carolyn Culp, Debra Lacoste, Dave Manning, Randi Patterson and Susan Follows.  Bring  your favourite dish (nut free and ready for serving) to share and drinks will be provided.  We will  singalong to the closing song, “God Be With You ’til We Meet Again”, that brings our seventh very successful year to a close. 

Men’s Breakfast – Saturday May 12, 8 a.m. at Calvin Presbyterian Church (248 Westmount Rd. E. Kitchener). Come for food and fellowship. Men of all ages are welcome!

Ready for some spring activity? Come join the gang at Crieff Hills for their annual Bird Day, Saturday May 12, from 8.30 to Noon. Get up close to our feathered friends with our certified bird bander, discover the residents of the Crieff Bluebird Trail,and enjoy the spring woodland wildflower display with some guided hikes. Affirm – Saturday, June 2nd, here at Knox Waterloo:

2-4 p.m.  we gather in the sanctuary for music, presentations, speakers and opportunities to worship, share, learn and grow together in a place of inclusion. PCC members from across Canada will be live streaming and hopefully many will be here – since the General Assembly meets that week at Laurier.

4-6p.m.  a time of fellowship and refreshment in the hall with conversation.

In celebration of Rev. Margaret Mullin’s retirement as Director of Winnipeg Inner City Mission, Knox Sunday School has sent a $500. donation for the WICM Endowment Fund. This will support the ongoing programming that the mission provides to the Indigenous community in Winnipeg. We wish Rev. Margaret well as she enters this new season of her life.

Refugee family in Kitchener with 6 children ages 4 to 19 are in need of a portable sewing machine.  Mom is mending and sewing by hand with tendonitis in both hands.  Contact Barbara Wise for more information.  519 896 9137

A dynamic gathering of youth

Gifts to Presbyterians Sharing support the vibrant ministry of Canada Youth. Every two years, hundreds of participants join together from across our denomination to celebrate their energetic faith.  This remarkable event in July unites youth, young adults, church leaders and guests from around the world for five days of soul-satisfying worship, unique expressions of faith in large and small groups, dynamic keynotes and workshops, vibrant faith exploration and joyful celebration!  CY is a gathering place for all kinds of enthusiastic Presbyterians to worship, play, create, learn, make new friends, study scripture, and share joy. More than 4,000 folks have attended CY since it began and the impact of its ministry has been felt in our camps, congregations, and courts.
