“God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change; courage to change the things I can; and wisdom to know the difference.” Reinhold Niebuhr

How has your week been? Have you been practicing “Letting go and Loving”? Have there been any aha moments – any new thoughts or insights that you want to remember? Perhaps you had a moment in prayer that was an epiphany or confirmation, or a conversation that enriched a relationship with someone?

This might be a good time to reflect a little more about times in your life when you did something new or different. Was it uncomfortable in any way? Is there something you learned about yourself or your relationship with God and your walk with Christ?

Have you been reflecting on Jesus’ words about losing our lives in order to save them? Remember that all growth, including growth toward being more loving is initially uncomfortable because it moves us out of our current ways of being and doing.

As we continue our journey through Lent, let us remember that God wants us to grow in our capacity to love. May we all deepen our trust and faith in the One who is the source of all love.
