Fifth Sunday in Lent
Theme: Brazen Acts of Beauty
Sunday, April 3rd at 10 am
God is brazen in turning tears into joy. When Mary anoints Jesus’ feet with perfume, it is a brazen act of beauty; it is also a public act of worship. Her faith does not hide; it is not frugal. It is embodied, broken open, and poured out. It is an abundant, extravagant faith. This week in worship we wonder about how beauty is resistance to death; beauty is an act of love.
Scripture: John 12:1-8
