Call to Worship

One: Come, all who are hungry and thirsty.
All: The Lord will provide for our needs.
One: Come into the presence of the God who is good in the kitchen.
All: Here we will find welcome and nourishment.
One: Come into the abundance of God.
All: We come celebrating that in the spirit of Christ, there is enough for all.

Welcome & Gathering Prayer

Sung Lord’s Prayer: Knox Chancel Choir

Prayer of Confession

One: God of abundance, in you there is enough for all, your love never comes to an end,
your care for us never concludes.
All: We admit that it is so difficult for us to trust that you will provide, yet at the same time we sit around waiting for a miracle to occur, to fit the difficult situations we find ourselves in.
One: You provide us the essentials,
All: yet it seems there is never enough enough time, enough energy, enough money, enough food to go around.
One: Help us to take a closer look at ourselves, to realize what you have given us,
All: help us to open up ourselves, open our pockets, our kitchens, our hearts and minds, to see that we have enough, that we are enough.
One: As your sous chefs,
All: forgive us not for joining you in the kitchen to prepare a feast open to all who need to receive your love. Amen.
