Wed@Knox, March 11th – Meaghan Mechler – What Lies Beneath – There are more living organisms in a handful of soil than humans on our entire planet. Though soils seem inert, with a closer inspection we find that they are thriving universes of their own! Come and be introduced to the wild world of soil life and explore ways you can continue to steward the land from the ground up.

Lenten Devotional Readings will be sent out each day during Lent to all members and adherents whose email is in the church’s Power Church. The readings (which began on Ash Wednesday) go to Easter. Give it up for the Earth is a campaign during Lent to raise awareness about climate change. As Christians, God calls us to love and care for all of creation. So, for 40 days, we are invited to make changes in our own lives to reduce our greenhouse gas emissions. We can also send a postcard to the federal government calling on them to do more to address this issue. More information, and postcards, are available at the Global Partners table during Coffee Hour.
Coffee Hour Hosts Needed – Sign up sheet is on the bulletin board! This is a great way for you/family/friends to get involved and meet people. It’s easy. Coffee is made for you and you just need to refill and clean up after the service!
