This Saturday night we set our clocks ahead an hour as we “spring forward”.Sunday March 8th is our Second Sunday in Lent. Our over all theme is“Into the Wilderness with Jesus” and this Sunday’s reading John 3:1-17 helps us to think about “Growth in the Wilderness”. We will continue to learn and sing our Lenten sung prayer of Invocation “Oh the word of the Lord is faithful, and the works of the Lord are true.”

Music scholar Elysha Vorstenbosch will be playing her harp for our time of reflection and music scholar Jessy Ernewein and music director Mary-Catherine Pazzano will sing “Pie Jesu”.

The Senior High Sunday School class will be serving hot dogs after worship. The free will offering will go to the Presbyterian World Service and Development Sunday School Challenge.

The Lenten Prayer Room is open during the office hours, LOGOS and before and after worship on Sunday. The Lenten Readings on “Practicing Courage in the Wilderness” are being sent out by email each day but you can also find them on our church website.

May God help us to bloom as persons nourished by the love of Jesus Christ.
