SUNDAY WORSHIP – This Sunday, February 9thwill be a special day for us. We are thanking Terry English for her many years at Knox as our Music Director. Brooke and I had the privilege of working with Terry as we planned weekly worship, special events (Anniversaries, Dedicating the new building) as well as Christmas and Easter, funerals and weddings. Terry’s work with the choir, praise band, music scholars and musicians from the community has created an amazing ministry of music at Knox and a legacy of excellence that enhances our worship experience.

During Sunday’s worship the special music will be “By God’s Hand” and “How can I keep from singing”. Congregational hymns are “Spirit of gentleness” and “Holy, holy, holy”. Hugh will be preaching “Sodium Light” based on Matthew 5:13-20 and our Sunday School will be learning about Daring Discipleship.

THANKING TERRY ENGLISH – After worship, the congregation will be invited to remain in the sanctuary for a short presentation to Terry. Then, we’ll head into the church hall for cake!

I hope you plan to be at Knox this Sunday. Please note, that the Sunday School children will come into the sanctuary after worship and join their families. (If you have little ones though, it might be best to pick them up)

“My life flows on in endless song; above earth’s lamentation. I hear the sweet, though far-off hymn that hails a new creation. Through all the tumult and the strife, I hear that music ringing. It finds an echo in my soul, how can I keep from singing?”

Looking forward to Sunday,

Linda Ashfield, Associate Minister Knox Waterloo
