Sr. High Youth – please stay in Worship today to hear our guest speaker from the House of Friendship. This will be good preparation for your volunteer work at the Ray of Hope.

The 2020 offering envelopes are available for you to pick up. If you have not ordered envelopes and would like to have a set, contact Charlene (charlene.janes@knoxwaterloo.ca).

Please refrain from using Scented Products so everyone can safely visit and worship at Knox. Thank You!

Coffee Hour Hosts Needed – Sign up sheet is on the bulletin board! This is a great way for you/family/friends to get involved and meet people. It’s easy. Coffee is made for you and you just need to refill and clean up after the service!

Chancel Choir – New Members always welcome! Ever wondered what it’s like to sing in a choir? You are always welcome to come check out our Chancel Choir rehearsals on Thursdays from 7:45 – 9 pm. ALL are welcome, even if you have no singing experience. Come one, come all!

Wed@Knox, Jan 29th Liz Fryer: Gifts from the Glen – Liz creates very special gift boxes with a variety of meaningful items. Inside you find the story behind each item and read about the special people who created them. Each item was specially selected and almost all were sourced locally, within 100 miles of her home. She is a firm believer in the power of story….of owing our own and of taking the time to hear, with acceptance, the stories of others.

Are You College Or University-Age (a student, working or in-between)? Food for Thought meets on Sunday nights at 6:30 pm for a FREE dinner & study at the Matthews’ (774 Belmont Ave W, Kitchener). For details check: www.knoxwaterloo.ca/fft.

February 25th Pancake Supper – Sr. High volunteers needed! The positions and sign up sheet are on the bulletin board.

Cooks Needed for Food for Thought – if you can provide a meal on March 8th or 15th, please sign up on the sheet on the Knox bulletin board. Thanks for sharing your gift of hospitality with hungry and very appreciative students!

February 9th – Save the Date – During the service we will be paying tribute to Terry English, Music Director from May 2007 to December 31, 2019. Terry deserves a big Knox thank you for all her contributions to our music ministry during her tenure. Following the service you are invited to attend a reception. Donations accepted in the office!

Logos needs a volunteer to help Shirley Carter make fun and creative centrepieces related to the theme of the week. Most of this can be done on your own time and then before dinner each Thursday (5:15 p.m. until about 6 p.m.). Shirley will share the job, her expertise and resources with this individual. If you are interested, please contact Jennifer at logosknox@gmail.com.

2019 Annual Meeting is on Sunday, February 23rd, at 2 pm in the Knox room. Please send your reports to Ruth Song (ruth.song@knoxwaterloo.ca) by January 19th.

Potato Blitz – Saturday, February 8th – Volunteers Needed! During this one day ‘blitz’, volunteers at grocery stores across the region aim to collect over $20K in cash and 50K pounds of potatoes! Some potatoes will immediately be used by the Emergency Food Hamper Program, and some will be stored. Knox will be supporting the potato blitz, as we have in the past, by collecting at two stores (Valu Mart Uptown Waterloo and Freshco University and Bridge St Waterloo). Sharon Feldmann is looking for volunteers to cover two hours shifts (9 – 11 am, 11 am-1 pm, 1 – 3 pm). We have found that four people at each location per shift works well. Please let sharonfel@gmail.com know if you can help out. Note: The Freshco 9 – 11 am shift is now full.

Brooke & Linda Ashfield Retirement Celebration (June 20-21, 2020) – save the dates in your calendar as we plan to celebrate the Ashfields 30+ years at Knox Waterloo during a weekend celebration in June. There will be many ways to participate. See the bulletin board for more details!
