LOGOS is a ministry to children and youth with a difference…
It transforms individual lives and entire congregations!
What Is LOGOS?
LOGOS is a mid-week ministry for school aged children from grades 1 to high school that runs from mid-September to mid-April. Adults, youth, and children learn to model Christ to each other in everything they do at LOGOS. There is one rule: everyone is a child of God, and no one is treated as if they don’t matter.
Having a saving relationship with Christ is
the most important thing in this life, and LOGOS
seeks to nurture that relationship in youth and children.
Did You Know?
That the majority of youth who commit their hearts to a relationship with Jesus Christ do so by the age of 14? The LOGOS mid-week ministry is designed to nurture children, youth and their families into a lifetime of Christian discipleship through interactive ministry.
Faith is not only taught but it is caught.
Relationships are a key focus in the LOGOS ministry.
Adult Particpant Opportunities
Are you being called to serve the children and youth of Knox church? If you love God, love children and youth, and have a gift and time to share, we have a place for you at LOGOS!
Corinthians 12:4-7 (Contemporary English Version)
There are different kinds of spiritual gifts,
but they all come from the same Spirit.
There are different ways to serve the same Lord,
and we can each do different things.
Yet the same God works in all of us and helps us
in everything we do. The Spirit has given each of us
a special way of serving others.

Four Parts Each Week
The four parts of the LOGOS weekly ministry model are:
Bible Study Grade level classes follow the LOGOS Faith for Life curriculum which nurtures youth and children into intelligent, obedient, and biblically-informed discipleship. |
|
Worship Skills LOGOS classes lead the congregation in praise and worship throughout the year with skits, choral singing, readings, and a unique and beautiful musical offering: our tone chime choirs. And let’s not forget the Rainbow Joys Ukulele Jazz Band! |
|
Recreation Recreation Play allows LOGOS young people to build friendships with each other and adult leaders and provides opportunities to practice our Child of God theology. |
|
Family Time Mealtime and table games centre around a weekly theme. Adults act as “Table Parents” to each group of children and youth to form a family for the year. Everyone takes a turn at being server for their table. The Dinner Dean leads family time activities. |
