Wed@Knox January 9th – Libby Walker: Waterloo During Prohibition. The year is 1920 and Prohibition has been enacted in the States. Here in Ontario, making alcohol is legal but selling it is tightly restricted. Libby Walker from the City of Waterloo Museum will talk about life in the brewery and distillery town of Waterloo during the time of Prohibition.

Fitness and Fellowship resumes Thursday, January 10th at 9:45 a.m. Do join us for physical activity and fellowship.

Coffee Hour Hosts Needed – Please sign up for one Sunday if you, your family or household can help. Thank You!

Are you college or university-age (a student, working or in-between)? We welcome you to join us for Food for Thought next Sunday, January 13th at 6:30 pm at the Matthews’ (774 Belmont Ave W, Kitchener) for a FREE DINNER & a study/discussion time. Questions? Contact Nancy Matthews (lighthousenm [at] gmail.com).

Volunteers Needed for Photo Directory Registration – Photos will be taken at the church beginning Monday, January 21st through to Saturday, January 26th. We need volunteers to help with registration. Sign-up sheets are on the bulletin board.

2018 Annual Meeting is on Sunday, February 24, 2 pm in the Knox room. Please send your reports to Ruth Song (ruth.song [at] knoxwaterloo.ca) by January 27th.

The Knox Bazaar Committee would like to thank the congregation for their generous donations to this year’s craft sale. We were blessed with contributions of baked goods, white elephant items, and crafts (knitting, crocheting, sewing, quilting, glass work, wood work and everything else). All your donations were greatly appreciated and allowed us to raise around $3,000! We couldn’t have done it without you.  –  Many, many thanks from Brad Tucker, Cornelia Gerrard and Tom and Sandi McBride.

Do we have your Email Address? Please ensure that we have your current email address so that we can email you your official tax receipt. Emailing receipts saves us lots of time and money! Contact Charlene with your updated email address at charlene.janes [at] knoxwaterloo.ca.

Please refrain from using Scented Products and perfume so everyone can safely visit and worship at Knox. Thank You! Alcohol free, scent free pocket size hand sanitizers are available to purchase for $3 each at the Welcome desk.

We are updating our Photo Directory to celebrate our 130th anniversary. We will be telling our story and updating photos for our members and adherents. We want everyone included! Photos will be taken at the church (no charge) and all you have to do is sign up using the online link posted on our website at knoxwaterloo.ca. If you do not have a computer, contact Charlene in the office and she will sign up for you.
