This Sunday is the first Sunday in Advent! Noah Emrich and Gil Almeida (from our grades 1-3 worship arts at LOGOS) will be lighting the Candle of Hope.

The High School group from LOGOS will be singing “Christmas Offering” by Paul Baloche with Mary-Catherine Pazzano on piano.

There will be a short video at the children’s time that tells the story of the long expected Messiah.

The sermon is about “Waiting and Wondering” and we will gather at the Table for the Sacrament of Holy Communion.

After worship, the congregation is invited to come back into the sanctuary for a short presentation by the Transition Team and the Knox Search Committee Convenors as they update us on the Transition of Ministers here at Knox. We hope you will be able to stay for this – and there will be a time for questions and answers.

Christmas Letters are available now to be picked up at the church. Looking ahead just a reminder that the Children’s pageant is December 9th, the Choir Cantata December 16th, Lessons and Carols with Full House Brass December 23rd.

The Christmas Eve and Longest Night sign up sheets (ushers, candle team, greeters etc.) are on the Knox Bulletin Board. As always we hope the congregation will step forward to help at one these services.

“Advent, once a year the chance to wait with a purpose.”
