Join others of university age (student, working, or in-between) for a free dinner at the Matthews’ house at 6:30 pm, followed by our guest speaker, Linda Ashfield! Linda will continue our discussion on “marrying well,” talking about her experience counselling engaged couples, planning weddings, and dealing with couples in crisis. Questions? WED@KNOX NOV 28th – David Gascoigne: Birds of Waterloo Region – David will continue his entertaining and informative talk on birds of Waterloo region featuring a whole range of species.

JUNIOR HIGH CHRISTMAS PARTY: Saturday, Dec 1st meet at the church at 5:15 pm and dress warmly for a horse drawn trolley ride through the Wonders of Winter light displays at Waterloo Park followed by hot chocolate, snacks and games at the church. WOMEN TOGETHER Monday, Dec 3rd, 7:30-9 pm. Make and take a fresh arrangement for your Christmas table. Cost is $25. Sign up in advance on the bulletin board beside the Lounge.

WHITE GIFTS Global Partners Committee are supporting Reception House whose programmes and services assist refugees throughout their first year in Canada. Items needed are new unwrapped personal hygiene items and toiletries, diapers, children’s games and colouring supplies, basic cleaning supplies and cooking utensils. Bring gifts from Nov 25th to Dec 16th. Place them in the box near the Caroline Street entrance.

WELCOME TO SACRED SPACE: You are invited to be still and slow down in the Prayer Room during Advent. How can you take time to prepare your heart and home for Christmas? Experience 7 stations which will help you to wait, make room in your heart, confess, pray, connect with the story and ‘live in it’. This is a wonderful place for your family to visit and experience together. Room 106, Monday to Friday and Sundays before and after worship beginning Dec 2nd.

ADVENT DEVOTIONALS: Rev. Linda Ashfield will be sending daily devotions for Advent on the theme of “wonder” by email. If you would like to receive them, please make sure that Charlene Janes our Assistant Administrator has your email.

LOGOS CHRISTMAS DINNER & CHRISTMAS GALA  On Thursday, Dec 13th members of the Knox Community are invited to join us for a HAM dinner at 6 pm! Cost is $5. Contact Liz Fryer (logosknox [at] gmail.com] by Dec 6th if you plan on coming so that we can make sure we have enough food. Christmas Gala will be in the sanctuary at 6:40 to 7:25 pm. We are updating our PHOTO DIRECTORY to celebrate our 130th anniversary. We will be telling our story and updating photos for our members and adherents. We want everyone included!
