WED@KNOX OCT 3rd Randy Bird will speak about the trials and tribulations in the history of the Waterloo Central Railway and the fantastic journey it has taken in the past eighteen months, recovering from near bankruptcy.

WED@KNOX THANKSGIVING LUNCHEON OCT 10th Enjoy a post-Thanksgiving meal catered by Angie’s Kitchen. Tickets are $12 and are on sale at the Welcome Desk until Sunday, October 7th.

JUNIOR HIGH PUMPKIN FUNDRAISER starts NEXT Sunday. Buy a pumpkin for the Thanksgiving season and support the Food Bank. Thank you to Sue and Bruce Dickieson from Mosborough Farm Market for their donation of pumpkins.

WOMEN TOGETHER is for women of all ages and stages who enjoy fellowship, learning and sharing. Our first event this year is on Monday October 15th, 7:30 to 9:00 p.m. We will gather for an evening of fun cardio drumming with Val Shah and  Liz Fryer; simple dance and  liturgical movement with Chantal Jackson. Enjoy a time of grace, humility, gratitude and reverence while we explore the meaning of ‘movement as worship, fun and medicine’. Cost is $5 to cover refreshments.

JUNIOR HIGH SLEEPOVER is Friday October 19th. Students in Grades 7 & 8 please contact  Laura V if you will be attending. Thanks to the Pedersen family for hosting this event.

SAVE THE DATE! The Women’s Circle of Care Group is once again celebrating God’s bountiful harvest on Sunday, October 21st with APPLEFEST. Tickets will be available for purchase in the church foyer each Sunday in October from WCC members. Mark your calendar now to attend this fun get-together in our church hall! Proceeds from this event will go towards special church related projects of the WCC Group.

SENIOR HIGH (GRADES 9-12) VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY Ontario Gleaners on Friday, October 26 (it’s a PD day) 8:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Volunteers will prepare vegetables for packaging in soup mixes to provide for hunger relief in overseas countries. Contact Laura V if you are interested. Drivers needed; max 20 people.
