And now it is August and we are looking forward to another long weekend this summer. While many of you will be away this weekend, I hope many will be able to be in worship on Sunday morning.
The sermon is “Playing Hide and Seek with God” based on our scriptures Jeremiah 29:11-14 and Matthew 13: verses 44 & 45 and Matthew 7:7 &8. There are many scripture passages that talk about seeking God and seeking God’s face. (For example – “See ye the Lord while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near” Isaiah 55:6) What does it mean to seek God?
Once again we welcome Jakob Villeneuve as our soloist. He’ll be singing “How Great Thou Art” and “Panis Angelicus”.
If you are unable to be with us, I hope you will consider live streaming the service.
May God’s grace of renewed recreation be with you.
“Seek me not in far-off places. I am close at hand. Your workbench, office, kitchen, these are the altars where you offer love. I am there.”
