Living Faith reminds us that Jesus is Lord. “His resurrection means that our faith is not empty, that final victory is assured over all evil powers which destroy and deform life, and that death, the last enemy is conquered.” Living Faith 3.5.2
This Sunday, April 15th we gather for worship and read once again stories of the risen Lord. The gospel reading Luke 24:13-35 tells the story of the walk Jesus took with two companions on the road to Emmaus. Music Scholar Autumn Wascher will sing “Give me Jesus” by Mark Hayes and the choir will sing “With a voice of singing” by Martin Shaw. The sermon title is “Looking for love in all the wrong places”.
After worship this Sunday, we have our last “A Child in our Hands Workshop” 11:30-1:00 (lunch is provided) Our theme is “Godly Play” and what it means to play, to have fun, to enjoy time with our children and grandchildren and the youth we teach. We might also have a bit of fun ourselves! You are most welcome to join us.
Last Sunday was a wonderful celebration of the 25th Anniversary of LOGOS at Knox Waterloo:
Thanks to everyone who participated and planned such a memorable day.
Blessings this day,
