Lenten Prayer Room is located in the Preschool Room this year. It will be open during office hours, Sunday before and after worship and on Thursdays during LOGOS. 

Daily Lenten Reflections – Our Lenten theme this year is “Loving God with all your heart, soul, strength and mind.” Each day during Lent, Linda is sending out a devotional based on a booklet from the Episcopal Church, USA.  If you would like to receive these, please make sure your email is in the power church database. The Knox Fitness & Fellowship group in grateful appreciation have made a donation to support Knox Waterloo.

A Child in Our Hands Workshop Series:  Today after church, from 11:30 – 1pm in the Knox Room. This series is open to anyone. Our topic today is “Celebrating Milestones: The Importance of Rituals and Traditions”. A light lunch and child care will be provided. Also please note the following dates for future workshops in the series:

* March 25 – “Sharing our Faith Stories”
* April 15 – “Godly Play”

Food For Thought: Knox’s university-aged dinner & study group, meets on Sunday nights at the Matthews’ (774 Belmont Ave W, Kitchener). Wednesday at Knox: Mar 7 Melissa Durrell:  Uptown Waterloo – What’s Next? Melissa is a City Counsellor for the Uptown area that includes Knox church. She will present a look at “What’s next” for Uptown Waterloo.

Knox Women’s Retreat April 27-29 at Crieff Hills Community Centre.  The theme is “Every New Day”. Registration forms are available now – at the Welcome Desk and on the bulletin board.  Space is limited – so register soon.

Bake Sale – Sunday, March 25th: Please support the grades 5 to 6 Sunday school class on Sunday, March 25th (Palm Sunday) by baking baked goods and bringing them before church starts to the kitchen.  You could also support the class by buying baked goods after the service!  The proceeds of the Bake Sale will go to important Presbyterian World Service and Development projects selected by the grades 5 & 6 class – Clean Water and Sanitation, as well as Education.

Collective Kitchen: Wednesday, March 14, 4:00pm in the Knox kitchen for University/College students. Join us to make nutritious meals which we will share and then you take home the extras. No charge, bring your own containers, and let Laura V ( know you are coming.

Women Together Monday March 19, 7:30-9pm “Music Therapy” with Elizabeth Mitchell who has worked at Lutherwood, teaches part time at Laurier and is currently working at the Homewood Centre in Guelph in a newly developed music therapy program. Women of all ages and stages are welcome. $5. at the door covers costs for programming. Bring a friend!

Vacation Bible Camp: “Peace Lab: Discovering God’s Way of Peace” is July 16-20, 8:50 a.m.  to noon for kids finished JK to grade 8! Registrations will be online soon. Mark your calendar and plan to attend!

Hymns and Hops at the Huether Hotel on King Street is Monday March 5th from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Bring your friends and join the informal choir for an evening of hymn singing.
