Food For Thought, Knox’s university-aged dinner & study group, meets on Sunday nights at the Matthews’ (774 Belmont Ave W, Kitchener). Join us for supper at 6:30 pm, followed by a speaker or discussion on Where Is God in Your Vocation? The Intersection of Faith & Work. Questions? Prayers for Bobby” “A Story of hope, love, faith and redemption” This movie (based on a true story) stars Sigourney Weaver. Monday, February 12, 7:00-9:30 p.m. in the Knox Room. Presented by Knox Waterloo’s Inclusion Initiative Team, this is part of an ongoing LGBTQl+ inclusion discussion. Refreshments and conversation will follow the film.  We recommend adult accompaniment for those under 14. Free admission – all are welcome.

Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper is Tuesday Feb 13, 5-7pm. Tickets on sale today during coffee hour. Adults $10; Students/Seniors $8; Family of 4 $25. All proceeds will support Ray of Hope. Senior High youth sign up to help on the bulletin board beside the Lounge

Wednesday at Knox: Feb 14  Valentine’s Lunch (Tickets $10- sold until Sunday, Feb. 11)  Linda Ashfield will speak and John Riddell will play favourite love songs on the piano.

Manna Day at Crieff Hills – “The Canon of Nature: Lessons from the Beeyard” with Rev. Linda Patton-Cowie on Thursday, February 15th 10:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. at Crieff Hills Retreat and Conference Centre (near Guelph). At this Manna day we’ll learn more about the fascinating world of the beehive, and will draw on the beauty of the St. John’s Bible as we hear the message God has for us in the natural world. See pamphlets on our bulletin board.

Men’s Breakfast – Saturday February 17, 8 a.m. at Knox Waterloo. Come for food and fellowship.

World Day of Prayer: Friday, March 2 2:00p.m. This year the Ecumenical service will be held at Parkminster United Church 275 Erb St. E. Waterloo. The theme “All God’s creation is very good” was written by Christians in Suriname.

We are looking for photos for our LOGOS 25th Anniversary Celebration.  Please start looking around your homes now for photos of LOGOS people and fun from the past 25 years. If you can scan and send copies to Mandy Woods at Miranda-erin[at] as soon as possible as we are busy preparing now and April 8 will be here before we know it!  Please include the approximate date and who is in the photo or what the significance is. If you are unable to scan photos, please feel free to contact Mandy at the email above and arrange a way to receive the photos.  We look forward to a fabulous Worship celebration on April 8.

This Wednesday, February 14th is not only Valentine’s Day – it is also Ash Wednesday, the beginning of the Season of Lent. This year our Lenten Theme is “Loving with all your heart, soul, strength and mind” based on a booklet of the same name published by Living Compass (The Episcopal (Anglican) Church USA).

Women Together February 19th 7:30-9:00 “Just Eat Cake!” Come for an evening of fellowship as we learn about the history of cake, remember some of the special cakes we’ve enjoyed, and have some fun decorating pre made cupcakes. Bring your favourite cake recipe, your mom or your daughter, or your sister, or friend – we’re going to enjoy some tea and we’ll not only have our cake – we’ll eat it too!

Women’s retreat April 27-29 at Crieff Hills Community Centre.  The theme is “Every New Day”. Registration forms are available now – at the Welcome Desk and on the bulletin board.  Space is limited – so register soon.
