First off, thank you to all who helped with the Song prepared by the Grade 1 – 3 LOGOS students for Worship this past Sunday.  As you may know, Worship Arts is a valuable piece of our LOGOS Bones.  It is an opportunity for our participants to learn and practice alternative ways to serve God. It is when we serve God with the Gifts he has given us that we show HIM in us and we are therefore, filled up.  The Grades 1 – 3 contributed greatly to our Worship on Sunday by sharing these gifts and for this, we are grateful!

This week at LOGOS is the night you (and I) have been anxiously awaiting!  So excited to tell you that this week is our HOGWARTS BANQUET – come as your favourite Harry Potter Character or as any muggle or wizard and find all things magical here at Knox!!!  The Kitchen Crew have a FEAST prepared and the GREAT HALL will be decorated in full regalia!  Be prepared for a bit of mixing things up as we get sorted into the 4 houses – Gryffindor, Slytherin, Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw!  Tonight will be a celebration of God’s Power to make all things possible – He is always working His magic in ways that are seen and unseen!

This is a Week 2 so that means that the Jr Highs will begin with an activity and Sr Highs will begin with Gym.  After dinner, the Grades 1 – 3 will have a craft and 4 – 6 will be in Gym.  Please remember to protect our floors (and yourselves) by bringing running shoes/indoor shoes now that the weather is taking a turn.

ITEMS WANTED! Chip a dish? Break your favourite mug? Please bring all of your broken and chipped dishes (not glass) to Knox for a LOGOS Jr. High project. Anything interesting in your junk drawer pieces of string, fabric a lone button. ? Those items are wanted as well. Please collect and give to Glenda.

Coming Up:

This Sunday: Jr Highs will be signing the song “10,000 Reasons” in Worship with the help of Barb Tucker – Barb has been sharing her gifts of Sign Language in order that our Jr High youth can learn a new way of praising God. It is truly beautiful to watch the Jr High interpret this song for us.

Also next Thursday: Vaughn and Kathy Sauve will be working with the Jr Highs for the Annual Cookies in a Jar fundraiser – Vaughn tells me there will be over 200 jars assembled that night in order that the group will sell them over the next few weeks – they are a great Christmas Gift for teachers, leaders, family and friends!
