LOGOS THANKSGIVING DINNER – This Thursday LOGOS is celebrating Thanksgiving with a turkey dinner and all the trimmings. If you don’t normally stay for dinner at LOGOS, but would like to ($5) please let us know today. You can sign up on the bulletin board or leave a message at the church.
THANKSGIVING HOST FAMILIES NEEDED – Please make room at your Thanksgiving table for International students who are waiting for an invitation to a Canadian Thanksgiving dinner on Oct 7, 8 or 9. We need 10 households to host. Speak to Laura V to get matched with a couple or a family with children.
JUNIOR HIGH PUMPKIN FUNDRAISER starts in October. Thanks to the Dickiesons and Mosborough Farm Market for the pumpkins. Proceeds support the Food Bank.

WOMEN TOGETHER – Monday Oct 16, 7:30-9pm. “Becoming your best self”. We welcome Melissa Pyne who will present the key ingredients to self-compassion based on the research of Kristen Neff and Brene Brown. Women of all ages and stages are welcome. $5. per person, bring a friend!

LOGOS is looking for Adult Helpers. We need a recreation co-ordinator to supervise the leaders, a grade three Bible Time leader, Grades 1-3 and also Grades 4-6 and Junior High Worship Leaders. LOGOS SENIOR HIGH is looking for woodworkers who could bring a miter saw with them on October 5th, cooks who could supervise chopping and recipe portions on November 2nd, and gardeners to help us re-pot plants into pleasing Christmas arrangements on November 30th. Wednesday at Knox Oct 4TH – Tim Wolfe: Urban Forestry Challenges. Tim Wolfe, Forestry Manager for the City of Waterloo, will remind us that even city-dwellers live in a forest! He will share his knowledge of the many challenges of managing an urban forest, including the importance of maintaining tree diversification and the on-going battle to control the effects of the Emerald Ash Borer.
APPLEFEST– Come join us on Sunday, October 15th following the church service for Applefest sponsored by the Women’s Circle of Care Group. Taste some delicious, yummy apple crisp topped with ice cream! Proceeds from the event will go towards special projects of the WCC Group. Tickets will be available from our members on October 1st, 8th, and 15th during coffee hour. Mark your calendars now to attend this fun get together in our church hall!
FITNESS AND FELLOWSHIP resumes this Thursday, Oct. 5 at 9:45 in the hall. Please join us for physical activity followed by refreshment and fellowship. We are a group of women who enjoy each other’s company and welcome newcomers.
