Please pick up the pamphlet that is being handed out today. This vision brochure speaks about Knox’s Capital Campaign “brightening our future”. As we renegotiate our mortgage this fall we hope to be able to pay down a significant part of the principal of this loan. Inside you will find a magnet to place somewhere at work or at home. We hope you will cut off the portion indicated, fold it in half and place it somewhere nearby. On one side is the logo and question “Lord what do you want to do through me?” and the other side has the lovely prayer written by our generosity team.  As we begin talking about how we can “brighten our future” here at Knox, the first thing we ask is that you pray. Thank you!

Have you noticed the “Coin Collector” at church yet? The children in Sunday school are learning about being generous and showing gratitude. They are collecting coins and bringing them on Sundays to put into the Coin Collector so we can make a donation to the church. If you want to put a coin into the collector, you can go upstairs after worship and drop it down from the second floor!

Wednesday at Knox Potluck Lunch & Full House Brass: Our closing event will once again feature a pot-luck meal.  Please bring a cold or pre-heated dish (nut-free, please) to share.  Full-House Brass is back by ‘popular demand’, including Carolyn Culp, Debra Lacoste, Dave Manning, Randi Patterson and Susan Follows, to lead us in a great musical close to our sixth year of W@K.

Men’s Breakfast will be on Saturday May 13, 8 a.m. at Knox Waterloo. All men are welcome to join in for food and fellowship. We will have an opportunity to hear about the Knox Habitat for Humanity mission trip to Nicaragua.

“More Than Just Words”: Diversity Training Workshop Our Inclusion Initiatives Committee is sponsoring a Diversity Training Workshop for the congregation [all persons over the age of 15]. Two professional facilitators will be here at Knox to help us put our words of welcome to all into action. Please attend even if you have done similar training in your workplace or school. Your experience will help to enrich conversations and learnings for all participants at Knox. There is NO COST to participate. Snacks will also be provided and a certificate & pin presented to all who complete the 3 hour training. Sign up on the bulletin board, online or call the church office, for any ONE of the following workshops: Mon. May 8 (6:30pm–9:30pm), Tues. May 16 (6:30pm–9:30pm). Questions? Today we are delighted to be commissioning Alexandra (Allie) Piatkowski to the Presbyterian Church in Canada’s International Mission Experience with Amity Summer English Program in China. This is a one month (July) trip teaching Chinese English teachers. Allie will also have the opportunity to learn first-hand about China and its people, worship in local churches, experience life with Chinese Christians and help promote cross-cultural dialogue.

Would your family or household consider being a Coffee Hour Refreshment Host for one Sunday?  The signup sheet is posted on the bulletin board.
