Many thanks for the cards and good wishes for Brooke. His surgery went very well and he is up and walking as well as resting and doing physiotherapy. All has gone well and he is healing nicely. Many thanks for your prayers.

This Sunday is Father’s Day and on the Church Calendar it is Trinity Sunday. Our readings on Sunday are Proverbs 8:1-4, Psalm 8 and John 16:12-15. As we think about creation and truth we will give thanks for the gift of wisdom as well.

Natalie Lacoste will be playing “Dvorak Sonatina” on her violin and we will be singing “Thou whose almighty word”, “Lord, our Lord, your glorious name”, and “God is love: come heaven, adoring”. We will also view “For the love of creation” a film prepared by KAIROS, the Canadian Council of Churches and Citizens for Public Justice.

This Sunday there will also be a BIG announcement from the Knox Search Team regarding the new minister.

“So then, here are the sources of our confidence: the wisdom and caring of a Creator God, the saving action of Jesus the Christ, and the guidance of the Holy Spirit”.

May the peace of Christ be with you,

Linda Ashfield, minister at Knox Waterloo
